Belhar Confession

Direct from sunny South Africa is a gift to us from the Reformed churches there: The Belhar Confession, written in 1986 as apartheid ended. In 2009 the CRC Synod (the widest gathering of the 1000+ CRC’s in North America) decided to recommend the Belhar to the congregations for reflection. Should it be a fourth confession, as some endorse? Or considered as a Contemporary Testimony? Or simply received as fresh encouragement in the life of faith?
