Coffee Break

Coffee Break is an interfaith Bible study for women. It is a time for meeting new people, talking, listening, and finding out what the Bible has to say to you. Expect to make new friends, share a cup of coffee, laugh, cry, and discover new insights from the Bible. The setting is casual, and you can participate as you feel comfortable! Previous Bible knowledge is not a requirement.

Childcare is available for preschoolers.

Community Groups:

Community groups are groups of 8-12 individuals that meet together and seek to cause each person to deepen their relationship with God and friendship with others. To get connected to a group, visit the Welcome Desk, pick up a Community Groups Information Form and drop it off in the box on the desk or, Contact the church office for details

Faith Education

We recognize that many people are in different places in their faith journey. Therefore there are a variety of opportunities for everyone to seek truth, ask questions and apply the answers of discovery. Pre-confession class is for anyone wanting to learn more about the Reformed faith and life. Contact: Contact the church office for details on our Education programs.

Supported Ministries

We here at First Barrie have long been involved with a variety of missionary efforts outside the Barrie community.

We have supported the Back To God Ministries International, the Vision Television ministry as well as other media focuses for spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

Denominational Ministries such as World Renew have played a significant role in the humanitarian aid effort throughout the globe on behalf of the Christian Reformed Church.

Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada linking the Canadian Church with the world's minority language groups, to see community transformation through Bible translation, use of translated Scriptures, mother-tongue literacy and education.
